Born in Peoria in 1932, Delores married her high school sweetheart right after graduation. The two had an early but beautiful romance and had two beautiful children together. Sadly, her husband passed in an accident early into their marriage and so she raised their children alone for a time. Later, she met her second husband Leroy. They married and had 3 children together. Together all 7 of them had a very happy family and that happiness continues to grow for this large family.
Delores now has 9 grandchildren who she absolutely adores. She has always had a true passion for the Piano. She started lessons at only eight years old and continued to play for her church and her community for the majority of her life. Her husband was a “carpet man” and together they ran a small business. She also spent time as the bookkeeper at Lum’s Restaurant in Peoria. She is a member of Mt. Hawley Church and played piano there for as long as she can remember. She spent her life living in the same house she raised her children in and misses it everyday.
